Update on Accessories & Tariffs
We have made the decision to go forward with both the GM Kit and Dice Car/Dice Set even though we know delivery to the US will be after the 90 day pause on tariffs. We've received other quotes from a number of countries and as long as the tariff doesn't settle extremely high (which seems like that will be the case) it will still be cheaper to made these in China.
⚠️ What that means for you?
TARIFF COSTS Well, it could mean that if another hefty tariff over 100% of cost is applied to the shipment, we will have to pass on some of that tariff cost to you. We are hoping that is not the case. If this happens, we will allow you to cancel the items for a refund.
SPLIT SHIPPING Also, the book will be ready to deliver about two months before the accessories. We will give backers the option of getting everything in one shipment to save on postage OR opting to pay an additional fee to ship the Thunder Road: Vendetta RPG book out earlier than the accessories.
QUALITY PRODUCTS This means things are only delayed and not cancelled or changed. You will have the high quality accessory items we intended originally with this campaign.
Locking Orders & Charging Cards - ITEMS ONLY
In order to deliver out the PDF of Thunder Road: Vendetta RPG and a few other items, we will be locking down addresses and charge cards for items only. Today we sent out the 48 hour notice to all backers via Backerkit and cards will be charged later this week.
‼️NOTE: Shipping costs have NOT yet been added and will be done closer to the actual shipment dates this Fall. This will also allow us to put in additional rates for anyone opting in for 2 shipments versus just 1 shipment.

Dice Car Sample finally finished & approved!
It will still take quite awhile to get the mold made, production, and shipping to you. But this is a big step!

Thunder Road: Vendetta RPG Book in production!
We received the manufacturer sample and approved it last Friday. The factory will be printing these and getting them shipped out as soon as possible. We are aiming to deliver the PDF next week after we charge cards for items in Backerkit.

May Update: More Production Samples, Tariff Update, Production Status

Tariff Update
Earlier this month the 145% tariff rate on product from China was put on a 90 day pause, meaning that only 30% would be charged on items that ship within that 90 day window.
Unfortunately the lead time on the dice car and GM kit items is going to be LONGER than 90 days so we are still uncertain what will happen with those items, but we continue to work with our manufacturer. Our goal is to continue with our manufacturer, but just deliver at a later date.
The RPG book has been in production for quite a few weeks. We are expecting the final production sample of the book by mid-June.
"The Keys" Sample arrive this week
The custom keys will feature MC in the style of GM to represent the Mechanic of Carnage, who runs the game. On the other side will be the 9th Level Games logo.
Digital Delivery, Locking Orders & Charging Cards
We planned to send out the digital version of Thunder Road: Vendetta RPG this past week, but realized that we need to lock down orders and in some cases charge backer's cards in order for them to receive the digital download.
So, our plan is to wait until mid-June so that we can give backers time to make changes to their order and have the heads up that cards will be charged around June 15th.

April Update: Production Status, Tariffs, Other News

Tariffs
Over the last 2 weeks the tariff amount has changed numerous times and there is a good chance it will change again before we are ready to ship anything from overseas. As of this update, tariffs on board games & toys from China are 145%. Books are still 0% tariff.
We were planning to get the RPG book, GM kit, and Dice Car from China. We are working out contingency plans, getting quotes from other places, and figuring out what we can do to make this work if we continue to print in China.
For now, we do not plan to increase prices to you for anything already backed or added-on for this campaign. We are hoping to keep it that way but the way things are we don't feel comfortable making a guarantee.
The book is going into production since we believe there will not be any tariffs on books. The rest of the items are still going through the process, but they will likely be put on hold before shipping to the US until we know what is going on. We do not plan to ship out anything from China until June so we'll keep you in the loop.
‼️Please note that no matter where we end up producing these items, we believe that our timeline will be extended and delivery will likely be after what we promised.

Backer Surveys
We are using Backerkit for our pledge management for surveys.
Today we sent out a smoke test to just 5% of backers to work out any kinks. Assuming all is well we will send out all surveys Monday Jan 27th.
🚨IMPORTANT: Shipping costs are NOT yet included since we are not planning to ship out rewards for another 6 months or so. Once we have more accurate shipping costs we will update Backerkit and let you know.

Zero-Prep Thunder Road: Vendetta RPG Adventure
One of the early stretch goals was to deliver a zero prep adventure to allow you to start playing now! We had hoped to get this out by the end of December but things did not work out as planned. However, it is in the works now and we expect to have that ready for you in the next few weeks. Expect to see it in our February update.
